We’ve had several e-mails this week asking about the flying bridge. Time is short today so we’ll just load the photos for your viewing pleasure before we head down to the boat.

The flying bridge has a nice open yet secure look.

What are your thoughts about the plexiglass going above the top railing?

    Steve Dashew Reply:

The Lexan plastic has been like that for the past three years and works fine.

  2. Marco Hoffman Says:

Looks fantastic, wish I was sitting up there! Are the plexiglass panels attached to the stainless steel rails with cable-ties? Why not fabricate some brackets and bolt them on which would look much neater?

    Steve Dashew Reply:

    Hi Marco:
The advantage of cable ties is it makes the panels easy to remove for storage. They a re actually less obtrusive visually than a frame in our opinion.

  3. Daryl Lippincott Says:

Maybe using white cable ties would be less noticeable.

    Steve Dashew Reply:

    Hi Daryl:

In the real world the cable ties are not a visual issue. White cable ties have a much shorter life in UV than black.
