We have been using aft engine rooms for 30+ years and in that time many different transmission. The key ingredient is engine room length – designing for it from day one – rather than the tranny. The transmission on Wind Horse\u00a0 are ZF 280 A’s, and on the FP 64 ZF280V’s.
