Electrical, mechanical etc. I purchased new set of tools dedicated to the boat so it means keeping the tools on the boat.<\/p>\n<p> My problem some of my tools are starting to show signs of tarnish ( early rust ) I use them quite a bit. And put them away after every project. Do you recommend something to keep them from rusting. Wd40? I don&#8217;t think there is a good answer, other than to keep them lubed as you&#8217;ve suggested with WD40 or similar. Since this is mainly a cosmetic issue, we do not pay too much attention (except for ratchet drives, adjustable wrenches, and pliers).<\/p>\n<p> We have a small plastic tool box with various bits and tools which are used on deck, which is stored in a seat locker. These tools are frequently damp. They are rusty appearing, but the pleirs, side cutters, and crescent still seem to function&#8211;and they are probably 20 years old.
