We&#8217;re leaving for our next trip in 18 months ( the first trip was a 5-year circumnavigation) and are trying to decide whether to pay the money now to repaint the bottom with a TBT paint at very high cost or wait until Mexico. What do you think is the best long-term plan for antifouling?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"answer\">\n<p class=\"Body\">Hi Eddie&#8211;if you can get good quality TBTF paint in Mexico, with a higher concentration of TBTF, then that is obviously the way to go. We&#8217;ve met several boats this trip with TBTF from Trinidad which they felt was working well&#8211;if you&#8217;re headed to the Caribbean.
