Working with Greg Kelchner in Fort Lauderdale we fashioned a variety of mock ups from thin plywood.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"Wind-Horse-monitor-glare-shield-102.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Wind-Horse-monitor-glare-shield-102.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Wind-Horse-monitor-glare-shield-102.jpg\" width=\"576\" height=\"765\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We found that five inches \/ 125mm \u00a0of \u00a0overhang to be ideal. The finished product \u00a0is bent up from 1\/4&#8243; \/ 6mm Lexan plastic. There are a row of one inch \/ 25mm vent holes across the back.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"Wind-Horse-monitor-glare-shield-100.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Wind-Horse-monitor-glare-shield-100.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Wind-Horse-monitor-glare-shield-100.jpg\" width=\"576\" height=\"384\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In this final photo the sun \u00a0is ahead, glaring on the deck and awnings. Normally the monitors would be difficult to impossible to\u00a0\u00a0see in this light.
