But Circa does such lovely work that we prefer to have it in the open, so we can enjoy this highest form of boatbuilders&#8217; art.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"_DSC6316.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC63161.jpg\" alt=\"DSC6316\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are two entrances to the forepeak. The watertight door from the forward suite&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"_DSC6308.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC63082.jpg\" alt=\"DSC6308\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;and this large deck hatch.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"_DSC6311.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC63112.jpg\" alt=\"DSC6311\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The area aft of the partial bulkhead will have&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"_DSC6366.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC6366.jpg\" alt=\"DSC6366\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;exercise equipment, the laundry facilities, and lots of storage space.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"_DSC6340.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC6340.jpg\" alt=\"DSC6340\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Black and gray water tanks are installed above the waterline where they can be emptied by gravity, used straight though, or emptied with a pump-out system as appropriate. Above the black tank on the starboard side, there are three air con compressors for the great room.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"_DSC6342.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC6342.jpg\" alt=\"DSC6342\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The forward end of the forepeak has the chain bin&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"_DSC6354.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC6354.jpg\" alt=\"DSC6354\" width=\"900\" height=\"574\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;the windlass and kedge winch gearboxes\/motors, shore power connections, and wiring to be connected to the forward mast.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"_DSC6371.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC6371.jpg\" alt=\"DSC6371\" width=\"900\" height=\"718\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Below the floorboards on the port side is the pump bay. This includes a fresh water pressure pump for each of the tanks&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"_DSC6378.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC6378.jpg\" alt=\"DSC6378\" width=\"900\" height=\"842\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;the air con raw water pumps, along with bilge and wash down pumps.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"_DSC6396.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC6396.jpg\" alt=\"DSC6396\" width=\"887\" height=\"900\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s obvious storage potential above the forepeak soles, but even more resides in the area below. In the shot above, you are looking into the bay opposite the pumps. There is an intermediate shelf that doesn&#8217;t show.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"_DSC6404.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC6404.jpg\" alt=\"DSC6404\" width=\"900\" height=\"505\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Even more storage potential lies aft. The thruster bay alone is capable of absorbing several cubic meters in the upper and&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"_DSC6411.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC6411.jpg\" alt=\"DSC6411\" width=\"900\" height=\"652\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;lower region, accessed by lifting the intermediate sole as shown above.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"_DSC6425.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC6425.jpg\" alt=\"DSC6425\" width=\"857\" height=\"900\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lift the washer\/dryer floorboards and you find even more storage.<\/p>\n<p>What we need now are fuel, supplies, and a week of bad weather in which to put FPB 78-1\u00a0<em>Cochise<\/em> through the ringer.
