This typically means sitting more and moving less. But <em>Cochise<\/em> makes this hard.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>We enjoy being at sea and working the boat as a team. We are generally as comfortable at sea as at anchor, and with the exception of on-passage sleep challenges, the thrills of feeling the boat move, seeing a horizon clear around us, and experiencing the clean air and brilliant night skies are a powerful lure. Still, there are benefits to being in port as well. Catching up with old friends, making new, learning about new areas,\u00a0all have their appeal. An example of\u00a0this is above. <em>Cochise<\/em> is moored in front of Laurane and Bill Parlatore\u2019s home off Whitehall Creek on the Chesapeake Bay.<\/p>\n<p>We have been here ten days, catching up with the Parlatores (founders of <em>Passagemaker<\/em> magazine), seeing old friends, and meeting new folks. This is the longest we have been in one location since St. Kathryn\u2019s docks in London in 2009.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Dashew-Offshore-1472.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IDashew-Offshore-1472.jpg\" alt=\"Dashew Offshore 1472\" width=\"1100\" height=\"619\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is a great spot for photographers.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Dashew-Offshore-.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IDashew-Offshore-.jpg\" alt=\"Dashew Offshore\" width=\"1100\" height=\"619\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Wildlife abounds.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Dashew-Offshore-1537.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IDashew-Offshore-1537.jpg\" alt=\"Dashew Offshore 1537\" width=\"1100\" height=\"479\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are eagles&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Dashew-Offshore-3775.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IDashew-Offshore-3775.jpg\" alt=\"Dashew Offshore 3775\" width=\"1100\" height=\"619\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;osprey, and&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Dashew-Offshore-1811.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IDashew-Offshore-1811.jpg\" alt=\"Dashew Offshore 1811\" width=\"1100\" height=\"619\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;numerous herons.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Dashew-Offshore-8861.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/setsail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IDashew-Offshore-8861.jpg\" alt=\"Dashew Offshore 8861\" width=\"1100\" height=\"619\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The sunrises and sunsets do not compare with what we experience offshore. Still, they are not bad. We are going to hang out in the area for a few more weeks.
