Spitsbergen, Norway – 24 Hours of Adrenalin – Part Two of Two

Hornsund-Svalbard-395

This 24 hour period started with blue sky and blinding sunlight. By early afternoon a mass of clouds had moved in. Five hours later and we had blue skies again.

Linda picked up this selection of fresh potted herbs before we left Tromso. They are living in a bucket by the entry door and doing very well in the sunlight and brisk weather.

Speaking of brisk, we are acclimatizing to the moderate temperatures. Water is around 40 to 42F (5C to 6C) and air is the same. The great room on Wind Horse is like a big sun room, keeping us very cozy with little use of the diesel heater.
