Caribbean 1500 Delay: More Time = Longer Lists

More time = Longer lists.

Tuesday, and the weather between here and the Virgin Islands is starting to come into view. The risks posed by the hurricane which has visited the Bahamas and Cuba are easier to quantify, and it looks like Thursday for departure. Wednesday might be a better day for us, with strong northerlies-but it might be a little boisterous for some of the smaller boats. This passage looks like it might shape up to be the type Linda likes-pleasant and relatively calm. It has the earmarks of diesel fuel all over it, and we may add a bit to our tanks Thursday a.m.

In the meantime, we, and the rest of the boats continue to boat chores. Hard to imagine how we all could still be working, since we were due to leave two days ago. But lists do expand to fill the time available!

BEOWULF’s list is now officially complete, and closed until we arrive at a lovely anchorage, and is not to be revisited until we’re bored with just chilling out. We may even get to visit the world famous Mariner’s Museum in Newport News, Virginia.
