A couple of years ago we fitted these vacuum gauges to our Racor air cleaners on our little diesels. They give an indication when it is time to clean or change the air intake filters.
It has been 1200 hours since we cleaned these. The vacuum gauges were not showing much of a pressure drop, but we decided to open the housings and use Wind Horse’s central vacuum system to remove this small amount of dust.

Hi.
Interesting to see the difference between road-going filters and this.
Would You say that this dust/dirt is more like fine powder, or is it sticky like on cars?
Thanks for a great website. 🙂

Hi Thomas:
The accumulation on the filter is sticky., and a mess to clean up.
