Basic Reading for New Sailors

I am a new boater. My wife & I cruise the coastal US. & rivers off & on throughout the year. Needless to say, there has been much to learn. Can you recommend an easy to understand & basic book regarding the weather & boating?

The best all around book to start out with is John Rousmaniere’s Annapolis Book of Seamanship. This will take you the basics of boat handling, weather, sail trim, etc. There is a new edition that has just been published.
