Hi Rick: Things change so fast in the electronics business it is hard to give you a definite opinion. In general, Furuno radars tend to have better target definition, and this is the key ingredient in any radar–large or small.

If possible, actually get out on the water and see how the sets perform. If this is not practical, see what the commercial fishermen are using. Always go for the largest antenna possible. This makes a huge difference in target definition. Let us know what you choose, and how it works out. Steve
