The latest issue of Yachting (USA) has an article by Steve and Linda on their voyage last summer to Svalbard and 80 degrees north.
It is always best to see an article like this in print, but if you don’t have access to the magazine, there is a PDF copy of the article here which you can download.
Also, you can read the Dashew’s blogs about cruising at the top of the world starting here.
And watch a slide show, with music by clicking here.
If you like ice and spectacular scenery there is a video of the Dashew’s cruise to Greenland here.

Off topic: I was watching the videos on the Windhorse’s surfing and the comments regarding fuel burn and then running with the booms out >> how often do you run with the wind to your rear quarters and have you considered using a kite as additional “pull”?

Hi Michael:
In the first 45,000 miles we’ve probably had the wind aft enough to help push perhaps a quarter of the time on long passages. When we were designing the boat we chatted with North Sails about a kite project with which they were involved. However, we decided to keep life simple.
The owners of the first FPB 64 are very much into kites and if anyone makes it work, they wll.
