BEOWULF’s storm covers are secured over her hatches, and she’s ready to go…
0830 EST. Beowulf’s storm covers are secured over her hatches, the dink is aboard and double lashed, sail covers are off, jib sheets are on the inboard (upwind) leads, and most important there are three batches of oatmeal cookies in the freezer…we’re ready to go.
Looks more like a motorboat ride than a good sail, but the breeze is lighter than it has been, and the prospects for a pleasant sail, if we wait through the weekend, are moderate to poor. But then again, maybe we’ll get lucky and have the forecasters proven wrong…
