Whiskey Creek Dinghy Cruise

Whiskey-Creek-Tour-5.jpg

At the suggestion of a SetSail visitor we took of yesterday afternoon to have a look at Whiskey Creek.

It is an almost pristine wilderness a few minutes dinghy ride from where WInd Horse is anchored. And if you get lucky, there are some wonderful critters to observe.

These include cruisers who would rather be off a bit from the crowds anchored nearby.

And osprey waiting for a tasty fish.

This chap had an Aries wind vane on the stern, always a sign of serious intent.

There is a risk reward ratio between time of day, lighting, and bugs. Catching a shot like this makes the risk of providing a small meal to a hungry mosquito bearable.

Speaking of biting, the fish are.

We will leave you with a few more images, and then back to the drawing board.

    Hi Steve & Linda,

Good luck with finding the will power to work in the many beautiful locations you travel to.

Your website has been daily reading for a few years now. Please accept my thanks for being able to ride along with you on your voyages.

    Cheers

Thanks for the kind words, Sebastian:
To be honest, we failed yesterday in getting back to work. But were rewarded with some great osprey photos. However, today is a work day as we have some details to finish up on several projects (the cameras are stored with a do not touch sign).

    Hi Steve and Linda

Just got back to the Azores and I want to thank you both so much for taking the time to show us around Wind Horse, a couple of weeks ago.

Your Florida pictures, needless to stay are beautiful and it looks like your grand children are having a ball.

    Very best regards,

    George Ponte
