2 Dinghies?

Have been admiring the FPB series on your website. Question: why do most of the Dashew boats carry 2 dinghies?

Hi Bob:

There are lots of reasons and they vary by owner. In our case the second rowing dink, with its sliding seat, if a great exercise machine. It is also much easier to pull up on the beach at 114 pounds than the power dink weighing five times as much.

There is also the issue of having a backup in case one of the dinks goes missing.

    We are the owners of Avatar, FPB64 Hull #1. We carry two dinghies for the following reason: as avid divers we have a big powerful dinghy capable of hauling 4 divers with filled tanks and gear at speed. But this same dinghy is too hard for one or two people to haul up on the beach during a shore excursion. So we keep a small second dinghy for those casual trips.
