If you have a mega yacht you are going to want a mega dinghy. Judging from our brief exposure to this scene in the Med. the criteria for these boats begins with style. Take the design above. Ver cool looking, assuredly quick, wet, and hard riding.
Then there is this approach. They came around to have a look at Wind Horse.
When you throw this sort of wake it indicates a heavy boat, huge amounts of power, and probably a somewhat softer ride from the deeper hull than the design in the lead photo.
A little less radical looking, but still avante garde. Drier yet. Do you want dry and comfy, or radically cool?
A bit clunky looking in comparison, but very functional.

The boats in the first three photos are all Wally Tenders.

Steve,
Curious: are the top two craft the same model/manufacturer(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGIlmASMH6M)? They look like the Wally 45 – they are different boats given the accessories and people but, they sure look similar. The third boat looks to be a very scaled up West Pointer Skiff (http://www.stripersonline.com/surftalk/showthread.php?t=409029). The fourth RIB could be paired with the venerable Whaler as unfashionable but very useful.
Happy Holidays,
Michael
