    Hello John:
    That depth number is in meters, and comes from Simrad Structure Scan. However, the depth is way off since we are in water too deep for it to read the bottom.

    Where is the transducer for the Simrad mounted?

    There are a variety of Simrad transducers above and below the water. One of these days we will do a write up on the electronics.

    Hi Steve, Looks like all your efforts are paying off. What’s up with the elevated and louvered fore deck dorade box? You hiding something else in there?

    That Dorade box is ventilation for the forward part of the boat (one of two) plus the drier vent.
